McDonalds uses various techniques to create an awareness for its product such as Big Mac by formulating promotional strategies using TV advertisement, billboard ads and word of moth due to the popularity of the product.

Studying the consumer behavior and acting accordingly in the marketing industry plays a huge role for a company like McDonalds. You can find it anywhere as McDonalds is one of the popular fast food store. Since culture is one of the main factor of consumers' wants and behavior, McDonalds uses food items according to the local tradition and culture. So McDonalds understands the need of their culturally and geographically diverse consumer and design a localized menu which allows the costumers to try the new food product. They use a powerful ad campaigns which make their products easily reach their target costumer. Traditionally, and still today, McDonalds’ focus in advertising, marketing, and design has been children. This is obvious with their PlayPlace, Happy Meals, and character Ronald McDonald. They actually introduced Ronald as a way to draw families into the restaurant.
